Data We Collect

Flash Shelf collects your name, email address, and profile picture from Google when you sign in. Your book library (titles, authors, metadata) is stored to provide the service.

Camera Frames (GDPR Article 13 Disclosure)

Camera frames captured during scanning are processed transiently on our servers using Google Cloud Vision to extract text. Frame images are never stored on disk, never written to any database, and are discarded immediately after text extraction.The frame buffer exists only within the scope of a single API request handler.

Third-Party Services

We use Google Cloud Vision for OCR, Google Books and Open Library for bibliographic metadata, and Stripe for payment processing. Each service has its own privacy policy.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, and erase your data.
